First Kiss Advice?

me and my bf have been going out for a few months now and the first time i kissed him on the cheek i missed! i ended up hugging him and then kissing his jaw bone and he ended up kissing my neck. it was pretty embarasing. he is my first bf and i really like him. his bday is coming up and i dont kno wat to get him so i thought i would kiss him. does anyone have any tips cuz i can use all of them since i have no experience and bcuz practically everytime i c him my stomach flips over. help?
